Flaxseeds are good for digestion because they contain a lot of fiber and mucilage, which stimulate intestinal motor skills, soften the stool and protect the intestinal mucosa. They are a natural source of essential omega-3 fatty acids. However, the body can only use the latter optimally if the fatty acids are extruded from the seeds. Our processing process is optimal because our body cannot digest the seed coat and therefore cannot access the nutrients hidden in it. Grinding the seeds is only recommended to a limited extent, as this breaks the shells but still contains anti-nutritive substances such as precursors of hydrogen cyanide.
